Adri Stone obtained a science degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 1985. He started his career as an environmentalist. In the 90's he responded to a dire shortage of teachers by teaching math's and science at various township schools in and around the Cape peninsula. At the dawn of the new millennium he joined the film and TV commercial industry. Presently he specializes in the creation of hyper realistic, imitation items of food so often used in the genre of Tabletop. These include items like chocolates, sweets, fruit, nuts, berries, biscuits, breads, meats etc.
His work features often in commercials from Eastern Europe, which led to him spending a year living in Bucharest servicing clients from eastern and Western Europe while working at Alchemy Studio. > View Showreel

Model Objects is a company run by Dennis Beechey and his daughter Michele. They have specialized in manufacturing specialised props and models for the commercial and feature film industry since 1980. Together they have many years of combined experience in the diverse fields specific to this industry.

From the manufacture of "Soft" and lightweight props for the use in action shots in feature films, to realistic replica's and models required for Table Top commercials, with Model Objects we are ideally suited to meet the specific needs of our clients.
Mark became involved in Tabletop in 2000, with the launch of Alchemy Studio. In 2005 Alchemy Studio relocated from Cape Town to Bucharest. Mark also undertook the move, and was joined by model maker Adri Stone. He returned to South Africa at the end of 2006, and joined Tabletop Studio, once again setting up a fully functional rigging and SFX workshop. In 2008 he left Tabletop Studio, taking a year off to develop his interest in macro photography and Stop Frame animation. Over the years he has specialised in creating hyper real substitutes for a range of liquids, especially liquid chocolate, as well as designing and fabricating the various rigs and tanks required for achieving the desired result. He has a background in mechanics and electronics, and has also explored the world of motion control programming, using the Kuper system to program and control rigs for delivery (dropping, pouring etc) and tracking. > View Showreel
Food Stylist
Juleta is a passionate cook and an organized hands-on food stylist. She has worked in film, commercial stills, packaging and magazines for the last 12 years.
Juleta has won three Galliova Food Media Awards including the award for understanding and addressing her target market in 2008. She is the food editor for Longevity and Destiny magazines. Juleta is involved in food web design and recipe development, and has the Royco website has her latest project. Juleta is popular with her clients and is well known for her professionalism and outgoing personality. > View Showreel

Food Stylist Vanessa Burnet is based in Johannesburg, and is our preferred choice when shooting in the Johannesburg area. She has worked with top photographers and directors, both locally and internationally, giving her an established reputation in the food industry as a creative, passionate foodie, with an energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
