OUR STUDIO

Starting with a great old industrial space, and a blank canvas our goal has been to build and equip a studio that allows us to achieve the highest production values in the most efficient and cost effective manner. It was also important to us to make the studio a great environment to work in. By retaining the buildings industrial art deco heritage in the design, we think we have created not just a visually striking space, but enjoyable place to spend the day shooting.
Designed as a tabletop studio from the outset, we have been able to tailor the studios layout, power, ventilation, and facilities to this very specialised discipline. OUR KITCHEN

Our Kitchen and food prep area, has been designed in conjunction with some of the countries best food stylists. The end result is an efficient and aesthetically pleasing workspace that allows for the most complex of food and product preparation. In keeping with our ethos of collaborative filmmaking, the kitchen is fully integrated into the studio space, providing line of sight between camera, cooks and clients.

Ground floor location with direct load in load out for equipment and consumables greatly reduce set up time. The layout is well suited to show and tells, demos, and stills work - movable food prep tables allow for the ultimate in flexibility.

OUR TECHNOLOGY

Today is one of the most exciting times to be involved in Tabletop production. Massive advances in equipment and Post Production make previously unseen imagery both cost effective and achievable. We offer instant playback of hi speed cinematography, in both 2k and 4k as well as more sensitive camera platforms, have both increased image quality and reduced lighting requirements at the same time.
Our 8 mb/s Laser Internet connection, in-studio high-speed wireless routers and Grinder-specific Wiredrive web-interface make for an easy collaboration and transfer of work with agency and clients. Remote, real-time approvals are a reality at Grinder Studios.
